Christopher's Corner: The Helpsters

Christopher's Corner: The Helpsters

The Helpsters series

Ages: 3-5 years

The blurb: Meet Cody and the Helpsters, a team of vibrant monsters who love to solve problems. Whether it's planning a party, climbing a mountain, or mastering a magic trick, the Helpsters can figure anything out - because everything starts with a plan.

Christopher's review: Do you ever have a hard time coming up with a project, or trying to find out a solution to solve your lengthy issue. Why not pop down to the ‘Helpsters’, they will be very happy to assist and support your inquiry in no time.

The Helpsters is a fun and brilliant live-action puppet TV series from the same organisation that created the well known wonderful series, the ‘Sesame Street’.

Within the world of Helpsters, are four colourful fun monsters that love helping people and anyone that needs further assistance. Customers entering their shop talk about the situation they are having trouble with and the Helpsters are more than willing to help out greatly - but to do that “Everything Starts with a Plan”.

The Helpsters is an enjoyable and extremely colourful TV series to watch. They are capable of helping with any form of tasks like; planning a trip to climb the tallest mountain, hand deliver a customer’s package, or to teach someone how to ride a bike* (*the last part is a guess, but I would believe they could). From seeing them working together and forming plans, they are a great team that would complete any assignment.

The best thing I enjoyed about the Helpsters was watching the team create a solid step-by-step plan that everyone takes part in forming together, and letting each member participate in their tasks. Which inturn creates a greater success of their plan.

It is great to see how they support each other. When a team member is having trouble finishing their individual tasks or has a lack of understanding, they would discuss it in more detail, trade opinions, gain knowledge, aid each other and create a clearer and better understanding.

At the end of each task, it is great to see them celebrate their success with the customer and singing catchy songs.

Throughout the episodes and the series, you get to know the monster puppets; Cody, Scatter, Mr. Primm and Heart’s personality, behaviour and their interest very well. As well witnessing many different kinds of fascinating customers that come in and speaking about their inquiry, to seeing the team generating a fun strategy plan to sort out.

By all means, this series is really good and interesting to watch. After you finish a big or small project, always remember “High Fives and Handshakes”!

Extra note from Christopher: I say, when anyone is going start watching the Helpster. They are going to think back to the old classic ‘Sesame Street’, ‘The Muppets’, ‘Bear in the Big Blue House’ and other past children’s edutainment TV series during the 90’s and mid-2000’s.
